Stepping Stone has demonstrated a dedication to quality care that helped achieve National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA) in 1994 and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) in 1998. We are also currently Texas Rising Star Certified.
Family Partners
Stepping Stone Family Partners is an organization that sponsors public community awareness programs. It also serves as a link between our administration, faculty, parents, and community. These key communicators sponsor community awareness programs as well as special events and projects.

Meet Our Team
Camille Brown
Executive Director
Camille began her career as a kindergarten lead teacher in a private school in Tyler in 1966. She taught reading in public and private schools and directed two preschool programs, which she founded. Camille is also involved in numerous national, state, and local professional and civic organizations. Her hobbies include reading, fishing, and gardening. She has four children, ten grandchildren, and seven great-grandchild.
Valerie Roberson
Assistant Director & School Age Care Coordinator
With over 40 years of experience teaching all ages, 16 of them with Stepping Stone. Valerie Roberson has her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and is certified to teach PreK through 8th grade. She has taught in public & private schools in Oklahoma, California, Ohio, and Texas.
Nicole Davis
Administrative Assistant
Nicole Davis has been with Stepping Stone 5 years and has over 10 years of experience working with children in a school setting. Her desire is for every child to feel special and for every parent to know their child is being taken care of.

Ms. GeeGee
Ms. Angie "GeeGee" is CDA certified with over 20 years of childcare experience. She has been with Stepping Stone for 18 years and is very passionate about caring for each child. When she is not at Stepping Stone, she enjoys spending time with her son.

Ms. Erica is CDA certified, with a total of 14 years of childcare experience. Ms. Erica has been with Stepping Stone for 7 years, and loves watching each child learn and grow!
Ms. Ashley
I am a caring and creative who loves helping little ones learn, grow, and express themselves. With a patient heart and a positive attitude, I bring creativity, structure and kindness into every classroom. Outside work I enjoy spending time with my daughter Emmie, doing arts and crafts, and sharing my love of music and imagination with others.

My name is Shamyia (Myia) , I have been in childcare for 20 years and have 3 beautiful children. I was born in Tyler, Tx ,but grew up in Longview, Tx . I love to fish, read and most of all spend time with my children.
Ms. Kamiya
I have been in child care since I was in High School. I recent;y graduated TJC with my associates in child development and 3 teaching certificates. I decided to further my education and now attending LSUS to get my Bachelor's in general studies. Teaching toddlers is like planting seeds that will grow for a lifetime. Seeing their progress is my greatest reward and acomplishment.

Ms. Deanna (DeDe) has 17 years experience in childcare, 17 of which she has been at Stepping Stone. She loves teaching and in her spare time loves to cook and spend time outdoors.

I have been working in child care for about 3 years. Seeing my toddlers laugh and smile makes my day and somethingto know about me is that I love all things that are whimsicle. I love working at Stepping Stone.
Ms. Emily
I have been working with kids since I was in High School. I grew up in Dallas, but have loved living in Tyler since graduationg college. I love working with kids of all ages, but especially 1's amd 2's. I like to spend my free time hiking outside or watching movies with my husband and our 2 cats.

Ms. Tracy has 10 years of experience in childcare, 4 of which is here at Stepping Stone. She is a wife, mother and grandmother. She loves spending weekends with her grandchildren, traveling and staying at home relaxing

Ms. Sandra is CDA certified and has been working in childcare for 40 years, 10 of them with Stepping Stone. She has 2 children and a granddaughter and enjoys spending time with family.

I am a 2's teacher. I've been working with 2's for 6 years and I have been at Stepping Stone for almost 4 years now and there;s no better place then here. I will love your babies like my own.

I am Ms. Carol, I have been with Stepping Stone for 20+ years. I have my CDA and enjoy teaching and learning with two and three year old's.

Ms. Pat
Ms.Pat has worked in childcare for 10 years. She grew up in Arkansas, but has lived in Texas for 32 years. She loves to play Volleyball and Softball.

I have been teaaching since 2018. I can't wait to teach, love and grow with your children. In my free time I like going out with my husband and running my crab rescue.

My name is Mrs. Keisha, I have worked in childcare since 1998 and love working with kids. I have been married since 2000 and have 3 beautiful children.
My name is Ms. Marrion and I have been teaching for 35 years, 19 years being with Stepping Stone. I have an Associates in Elementary Education with a minor in Art. I love working with children and having lots of fun. I have one daughter, Maalesha. I love collecting recipes and being on Pinterest. I pray each and everyone of you have a great school year.

Ms. Lynda
Mrs. Lynda has a bachelor's in Elementary Education and has been teaching at Stepping Stone for 28 years. She was awarded the TAEYC Teacher of the Year, Pre-K Division, in 2002; Tyler Area Golden Apple Teacher Award in 2007 & 2008; and the Frogstreet Press Teacher of the Year in 2010.
Ms. Lexie
My name is Miss Lexie, I was born in Louisiana, but I grew up in Tyler. The owner and Executive Director of Stepping Stone, Camille Brown, is my grandmother. Just like your child, I have grown up at this school. I attended Tyler Junior College and received an Associates in Early Childhood Education, a Pre-K teaching certificate, Administrative Credentials, and an Associates in Childhood Development. I also attended the University of Texas at Tyler and received a Bachelors Degree in General Business. I've worked here for over 10 years.
Ms. Shelly
I am excited to be teaching Pre-K, this is my first year teaching Pre-K and my third year as an educator. I am passionate about creating a classroom where every child feels loved, encouraged and excited to learn. I live in Whitehouse with my husband Quentin and our son Connor and daughter Leighton and our German Shepard Remi. When I am not in the classroom I enjoy reading, crafting and finding new opportunities to learn and grow both personally and professionally.

I started working in childcare when my own daughter was born way back in 1992. I love what I do. Working with children is my calling, my purpose in life and I absolutely love my job and every single child I come across. I take alot of pride in my role as a teacher/caregiver. Every child should feel loved and valued and that is what I strive for. Outside of work, I am usually spending time in nature or playing with my animals. I love to make natural remedies and bake bread and of course spending time with my family.
I have been teaching for 21 years. I have my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. I am originally from Philadelphia, PA. I have been lining here in Tyler, TX for 5 years. I am married with 2 sons.

for 3 years.. I am the Frog Street Curriculum Coordinator and Computer Lab Teacher for Pre-K. I enjoy doing crafts of all kinds. I also love Snoopy and Peanuts Characters.

I have been teaching for 25 years. I have my Associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Tyler Junior College and my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from LeTourneau University and am pursuing my Masters Degree in Education. In my free time I love spending time with my daughter Emma and my dog Iggy. I am a child of God and give Him all of the glory for my wonderful blessings.

I have been in childcare for 2 years. I have the privilege of working with our wonderful 2-year olds and Pre-K students. My goal is to create a safe, loving, and engaging classroom where every child feels valued, encouraged and excited to learn. I love helping little learners build confidence, develop new skills and discover the world around them.

I am the Rev. Mrs. Marci Hamilton. I love working with children and families here at Stepping Stone. I have been working with young children almost continually for 33 years, with 20 of those being dedicated to Stepping Stone. I have earned 2 Child Development Credentials, 1 in infant and toddlers and the 2nd in Pre-School.Continuing Education gives me tools to help them learn and grow. My heart overflows for the children and their families
