Camille Brown
Owner & Executive Director
ccb@suddenlink.net
Camille Brown began her career in education in 1966 as a kindergarten lead teacher at a private school in Tyler, Texas. She went on to teach reading in both public and private schools and direct two preschool programs that she founded.
In 1968, Camille followed her passion for educating young children and opened Stepping Stone School in Tyler with just 18 students and one other teacher. As the school quickly grew, she purchased property and built a new facility to accommodate the increasing enrollment.
For more than 58 years, Camille has remained dedicated to providing children with a safe, nurturing environment where they can learn, grow, and develop a strong foundation for success. What began as a small preschool has grown into a longstanding educational legacy serving generations of East Texas families.
